Fujitsu keyboard malfunction??

My keyboard and touchpad aren't working (the backspace,'0' doesn't work and most of the letters don't work). Also, it won't let me sign into my Microsoft account, saying "You can't sign into your PC at the moment. Go to account.live to fix the problem, or try the last password you used on this PC."

I went to account.live using another computer and submitted a 'New Account Verification Form' which was refused twice.

I really don't know what to do - I can't get into my laptop.

I spilled a bit of water on it a while ago which might be the cause, but it wasn't that much and I can't be too sure...

Any help or advice would be much appreciated, please!!!!!!!!! Thank you in advance :)

Plug in an external USB keyboard if that works correctly the Laptop keyboard and touchpad will have to be replaced. Most likley it is due to the water damage you did. Also please don't multiple post this just irritates answerers and is against Yahoo T&C

    sorry

A week ago I had a problem with my Fujitsu Lifebook 2210 not booting up. It

turned out that the 512MB add-on memory module was bad. A couple of days

ago I replaced the memory with a module that I bought from Crucial.

The memory itself was installed with no problem, but while installing the

memory -- which sits underneath the keyboard -- I pulled the keyboard's

ribbon cable out of its connection on the motherboard. It looks like it

just slips into a connection on the motherboard, but when I try to slip it

in and boot up, only a few of the keys work.

I can use the notebook computer with an external keyboard, but I would like

to have the keyboard work, because the external keyboard isn't any help in

making changes in the BIOS (if necessary).

My one-year warranty has expired, and Fujitsu says I will have to pay for

the repair -- which they say costs $220 for a keyboard replacement to $500+

    for replacing the motherboard.

Does anyone have another, less costly solution? Can anyone tell me how the

keyboard ribbon cable attaches to the motherboard?
