new orleans attire, weather, etc?
Hello, I'm headed for new orleans tomorrow, and weather channels predict the week in the 50°s. But how cold can this be? (I come from los Angeles) my current luggage consist of 'hoodies' and regular sweaters. I have and 'bigger' jackets that I wore for NY during the winter, but im unsure if humidity will be high and what that means for attire.
Any one in new orleans suggest anything?

It's Mardi Gras day in New Orleans and my friends sent a Facebook message that it was in the 30s last night and today it's cold and rainy. With cool weather in New Orleans, don't depend on just one big jacket to keep warm but rather layer your clothes like you're going to visit San Francisco. Layering will also keep you warm on airplanes where it seems fewer airlines provide pillows and blankets for travelers. Any extra layers you don't need on the flight can be bundled and used as a pillow. High humidity in cool weather just feels cold.

Right. The temperature never rose above 33 degrees today. There was sleet and rain for most of the day and night. When I got out to the start of Zulu it was 30 degree this morning. The weather will be about the same for the rest of the week although the temps will rise just a bit.
