Can pull ups alone build lats ?

I normally do pullups and underhand rows. Now I want to do only pullups to save more time for core work. Wat do u say ?

    pullups seem to be more effective when performed on a door, not on a chin up station, a door will force both arms to stay in front of the body all the time.

    socks can be used to provide soft grip to the top of a door.

    Yes but you need to do weighted pull-ups and reverse pull-ups as well.
