Why do things have to appear small?
iv always wondered Why do things get smaller and smaller when you go far from it? for example a flying plane.
or is it has to do with our eyes because we cannot view large things from a small distance or could all things actually look the same from any distance?
i would really appreciate your answers!

it's because the apparent size of an object depends on the angle of vision produced by the object in our eye retina.apparent size of an object placed far away is small because it produces a smaller angle of vision on the other hand apparent size of an object placed close to you is greater because it produces a bigger angle of vision...its just an optical phenomenon.

Imagine lines drawn from your eye to each side of the object.
If the object is small, those lines make a very narrow angle. If it is big, those lines make a wide angle.
If it is far away, those lines make a very narrow angle. If it is close, those lines make a wide angle.
So far away objects take up the same angle of your field of view as small objects do.

The closer something is, the more space it takes up on your retina.
therefore, it appears larger.
