If the Kelly Blue Book says the value of a car is $2000 based on year/make/model/mileage and the seller has just installed a new engine, should the price of the engine be added to the value of the car?

If its under warranty, Id add a few hundred to its value but the book value does not change.
A car is supposed to have a good engine.

Truth be told, used car market pricing is in chaos over the price changes. Trucks that were worth $17,000 6mo ago are selling for $9,000 today. ALL used Honda's except for the Pilot have increased in value the past 6mo! Check to see where your local car auctions are held, and see if you can check sale prices on their website. Then look for a vehicle like yours to be sold. Its chaos out there.

No. In fact, any KBB valuation of only $2000 is likely to a wild a$$ guess at best. It might be worth more -- or less.

No. I would question why it needed an engine. It could've been abused which means the rest of the car is probably bad or will be bad soon.
