How is the brain so fast?

For example, I was walking with a plate of food, and the fork slipped off. I caught it even though I was looking the other way. How is the brain this fast?

Because it's run by electric activity. And this activity is really really fast. The greater amount of healthy brain cell, the electric activity will move faster. Every sensation that your body catch from every area is simultaneously transmitted to your brain through your healthy nerve and processed into informations. After get this informations, your brain will make decision about what to do, if your brain decides to do nothing, it will do nothing. But if it decides to do something, it will send again the electric activity to your body and make it do something. This entire electricity journey happens like in milliseconds. Fast response and slow response people are determined by their brain cell function.

Our brain is amazing. We should keep it and maintain it as good as we can :)
