How many guitars is too much?

Im 17 and I have 6 guitars. A classical guitar, an Epi Hummingbird, a Squire strat, a Gibson LP studio, an ESP LTD flying V, and a Charvel star. I was thinking of getting a Schecter hellraiser cuz it seems cool and those bodies are easy to play. Also, it has stripper inlays. Me and my friend were thinking of starting a metal band once tennis season ends. The reason I like to many electrics is that I never have to retune guitars since i play in a lot of different tunings from Standard to Drop C to C# standard to Drop A. I really want the Schecter for Drop B. How many is too much though? I really do love music

    If you play in many different tunings, what you are doing makes total sense.

    You can never have too many guitars!

    If you can afford them, why the heck not?

    You can NEVER have too many. I'm 15 and I have 5 guitars - a classical Ashton, SX custom acoustic, a Fender Dc180 custom semi acoustic, a black and white Fender Strat. And a Gibson Les Paul standard pro in iced tea.

    my uncle is also moving to Vietnam and he is giving me his Gibson Songbird. So excited for that!

    I have 7 guitars at the moment and I check Craigslist every day for a good deal on another. Eight is my max cuz that's all I have room for.

    Of course, if I find something I just gotta have I'll make room for it! Might have to move the wife out.. (j/k)

    It only gets to be too much when you have so many that a lot of them will sit in the case for months or years without being played.

    Just a link to Google pictures for one of the more legendary collections - Google "Steve Howe guitar collection" for more. When they publish a book about your collection, then you really have one ;<}

    My wife asked me once how many guitars I need.

    I answered, I don't know, how many are there?

    I only has 12 at the time. They are all unique and have their own personality. I'll take as many as I can get.

    personally, I know someone who owns 47 different guitars (acoustic and electric). I say that as long as you can afford them, collect them!
