How do you remove an alarm system in an infiniti g20 1996?
My car alarm goes off at all hours by itself and we think it could have something to do with causing the battery to drain. Are their any links to info on this topic, maybe a how to page? I've looked and found out that the manufacturers alarm systems are difficult to remove. But the cost of having the dealer do it is prohibitive. I haven't seen anything that explains how to do it or where I could get specs on how to either. 10 pts to the best answer. (if you don't know, please do not answer. I've already looked into youtube and haven't found any walkthroughs)

You could try to find what causes the alarm to go off. Get a wiring diagram, maybe in a Haynes manual or factory service manual, and disconnect the door switches or the wires from the alarm system to the horn and lights. However, the alarm may be integrated into the car computer system so there are no separate wires to cut.

Have you called the mfgr. Consumer hotline? Perhaps they have some suggestions , warranty info, recall help, etc. My husbands car alarm kept going off. He was putting key/alarm in pocket with his change! Coins pushed panic botton.
