Science ( quantum physics ) and spirituality - Is there any theory relating the level of consciousness of the?
conscious observer to the observation and the outcome of that?
If yes, then kindly explain it in short or provide some link to it.
If no, then what do you think about it?
Ave Satanas,
it is not possible to observe without the presence of the consciousness
and more correctly
i will like to put it as
the relationship between the level of consciousness of the conscious observer
and the outcome of that conscious observation.
Wildflower,
for your kind information,
spirituality is nothing but the exploration of the consciousness
and to find the existential truth through it
and this is the reason
i have put this question in the section that deals with spirituality.
I agree with you that it has nothing to do with religion.
I am just trying to find the bridge between the science and the spirituality.
No thumbs down from my side.
biggalloot, i think, science has done a great contribution by introducing the concept of conscious observation in the field of quantum physics and thus giving due importance to the consciousness in the field of the science. And since the spirituality is nothing but the exploration of the consciousness in an attempt to know the ultimate existential truth, so it is now the turn of the spiritualists to hold this link of quantum physics and to find ways to bridge the spirituality with the science.
biggalloot, by observation, i mean, ultimate perception of a conscious being regarding a particular event or aim in the outside or the objective world. And i am taking the perception from spiritual point of view and hence it is subjective also.
The voice of reason, thanks a lot form your kind information and the quote. I will definitely search for more details through the web.
trewant, i have great respect for J. Krishnamurti. Can you provide some link to know details of his view on this subject? Thanks.
should i choose a best answer out of the five answers received so far,
because since day three
this question is no more visible in the overall list of open questions,
though it is being shown open in my activity page?

To correct the pig ignorant answer I just read. Black box experiments are recorded by instruments. The results are "not" fixed until the instrument is read by a conscious observer. More than this; an experiment can be concluded then a test subject asked to consciously affect the result of the experiment before the instrument recordings are checked. This has shown that consciousness can influence the result (Left box bias or right box bias) in the time between the conclusion of the experiment and the reading of the result.
So consciousness can not only influence the location of a proton it can do it after the event.
Source(s): Max Planck quote (The founder of quantum mechanics) “All matter originates and exists only by virtue of a force... We must assume behind this force the existence of a conscious and intelligent Mind. This Mind is the matrix of all matter.” - 7 years ago
Look into the teachings of Jiddu krishnamurti. He went well into this.
Consciousness is beyond the brain. Theories are of the brain. Thus they are called theories, not truths. Although they may be true for now given the present consciousness of the observer.
Consciousness may enlighten the brain and provide it with knowledge of spiritual matters but it won't provide the brain with theories, that's the brain's job.

Science must explain itself to the unwashed masses through analogies. Sadly, it is often the case that the unwashed masses don't understand that the analogies are nothing more.
Observation does not mean what you think.

By observation they just mean a measurement. It could be a scientific instrument. It has nothing to do with consciousness.

Neither does it have anything to do with Salvation, the Bible God's Holy Word. Or Jesus Christ. So why don't you ask such a question in the appropriate category? Calls into question exactly what is your purpose or your motivation?
