26 YO died alcoholic cause of death?

My best friend, who was 26 years old died. They have not told her family the cause of death yet, and it has been over a month and a half. The coroners told them it wasnt a heart attack, and any drugs tests im sure would have come back by now. She drank heavily from the time she was 17, so I'm just wondering if it was natural, or liver failure. IDK

They usually place the cause of death on the death

certificate. If an autopsy was done, or they did any

kind of film testing on her...it would of determined if

    this was a liver problem.

When the liver cells become damaged, the immune

system of the body would have responded to this

and cause inflammation inside the liver which

leads to the liver enlarging in size.

If the inflammation remains in the liver,

scar tissue would appear as the liver cells died off.

The liver would take on a knobby, nodular

appearance; it would also start to shrink in size

    and have a hard texture.

This would have been easy to diagnose.

If she had liver failure, she would of developed

fluid in the abdominal area known as ascites.

This would of made her look like she was pregnant.

She would of turned Jaundice (yellowing of the

whites of the eyes and skin), She may have

developed spider like veins, known as hemoangiomas,

on her chest, neck, and shoulder areas. These are just

some of the physically seen signs of liver failure.

Sometimes families don't want others to know the

cause. She is already gone, so it really doesn't matter

unless it has an inheritance or viral factor, of which could of

    been passed onto others.

I hope this has been of some help. Memories last

forever in our hearts and mind. Best wishes
