Art Colleges near the Great Lakes?
I have always loved the Great Lakes, and I want to go to college for Art. My brother is currently at the Great Lakes Maritime Academy in Traverse City MI, and I'd love to be able to visit him. Anybody know of any art schools nearby? I actually love in Iowa and have been looking at Full Sail University in Florida and The Creative Center in Nebraska, but I'd much rather go somewhere near Lake Superior or Michigan If possible. Thanks in advance.
I meant "live" not "love"

I don't know the Creative Center. Full Sail isn't even regionally accredited. That means that a lot of employers won't see their degrees as real, and you won't be able to transfer classes to another school, should you need to.
Good art schools that are in states that border Lake Superior or Lake Michigan include: the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (one block from the lake - and not part of the Ai chain of schools, which should be avoided), College for Creative Studies, College of Visual Arts, Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design, Cranbrook Academy of Art, U Wisconsin Madison, U Illinois Chicago, Columbia College Chicago, U Michigan Ann Arbor, U Minnesota Twin Cities, Northwestern U, U Wisconsin Milwaukee, Michigan State U, Ferris State/Kendall.
I know several of those are actually on a lake. Some, I'm less sure of, as my knowledge of the geography of that area isn't all that great, so you'll need to check each one and see if it's in a location you like.
ETA: the Creative Center in Omaha is also not regionally accredited. You want any college you look at to be regionally accredited, at a minimum.

The Chicago Art Institute offers art classes and I think they have a full degree program.
