I was coming home from work, and saw a cat in my headlights, but I wasn't able to stop in time. However, I didn't feel any bump or anything and when I checked my tires there wasn't any blood or fur or whatever on them. Perhaps the wheels didn't hit him? In retrospect, I should've pulled over to see if he was alright. Is there any way I can know if I hit him? I'd feel terrible if I did. I just want to know.

My internet's current speed is capped at about 100kbs. I can't pay my isp to increase it at the moment. I am literally being driven insane by how slow it is. Please, for the love of god, tell me how I can make it faster, legally or illegally, i don't care. If want to lecture me about morality, don't. You'll be wasting your time. Please! THERE HAS TO BE A WAY!

I'm 18, and have had my license for a bit over a year. Today, while I was on my way to drop my sister off at something, I was coming up to a light and I didn't see it turn red. I'm not sure how, but I didn't see the truck ahead of me slow down until it was too late. I ran into the back of an older gentlmens truck. I'm not sure how fast I was going, maybe around 40. Nobody was hurt, and the other guys truck was suffered virtually no damage at all, but the entire front of my moms car, which she let me drive for the day because it's a lot better than mine, was smashed in, and its probably unsalvageable. I had trouble getting my license out of my wallet because my hands were shaking so bad. The officer who came decided not to give me a ticket, saying "accidents happen". I'm not really sure why I'm even telling this to you people. I just feel like such a piece of **** and I'm afraid to drive again, but I know that I'll have to on Monday. Anyone have any stories about their first accident to help ease my misery?

So, apparently Israel and the Palestinians don't like each other for some reason or something, and there's also a guy named Hamas who has something to do with it. Someone, please educate me on this.

My dad had this portrait done when he was overseas in the navy. I've been trying to track down the artist who made it, but my search has been unsuccessful so far. Anyone have any advice as to where I should look?

I'm a senior in high school now, and I'll be graduating soon. I'm not particularly fond of high school, and I don't really have any friends. Not because I don't like anyone here, but because I have terrible social anxiety. I plan on going to college somewhere in a bigger city (perhaps Chicago) which will be very different than what I'm used to, as I currently live in the middle of cornfield, which can get very lonely. My school district is made up of small towns and is very conservative and is infested with hicks. I don't really seem to fit in with the culture here. Will things be better when I go to college and meet more like-minded people? Anyone have a similar experience?

I've been using an nvidia gtx 650 for a little while now and its been running great. I was able to get an average of 40fps in Bioshock Infinite on high settings. The only "next gen" games I've tried to run have been AC4 and Watch Dogs. Both ran rather poorly. But as I as I understand it, Ubisoft has been notorious for their bad pc ports. Should there really be that much difference in performance, or is this just bad optimization? Perhaps a combination of both?

Lately I've been having very unpleasant dreams. It's been going on for maybe a week or two now, I'm not sure. Almost every night. In each dream, I'm not being chased by anything, there are no monsters or anything like that, but rather an intense feeling of fear, due to lack of senses. For example, one dream I had started off nicely; I was sitting with a beautiful girl. When she grabbed my hand, I instantly became sort of half-aware that I was dreaming, and started panicking. I think I was afraid that someone in real life was touching my hand, because it felt so real it the dream, but I was also aware that I was dreaming, if that makes any sense. Others are simpler. I'll dream that I'm just lying in bed, not able to see, sure that there is something watching me. I'll have to kind of force myself out of the dream every night, and I'll just lay awake for the rest of the night, afraid to go back to sleep. I've started to fear going to bed as well, knowing that one of these nightmares will occur. It's not a reoccurring dream, but each one is similar in that they all seem to deal with the fear of the unknown. I don't know what's causing them. If anyone has any idea how to put an end to this, I would appreciate it.

If I try to do anything too "intensive" for my old laptop, like watching a youtube video, my computer will crash, giving me a blue screen of death with a message that says something about a hardware problem. But when I disable my graphics driver, the crashes stop. I've tried updating it, but it says that it is up to date. Is there a way that I can reinstall it or something? Anything to fix the crashing it seems to be causing?

I bought a cheap laptop off of eBay. I thought it was working well until I started getting blue screens. I've done everything I can to fix it, but nothing helps. I can't reinstall windows, because I don't have the cd. If I install Linux, will that fix the problem?

I've been looking at colleges for game art, and I've seriously been considering Full Sail. Every review I've read has either been by someone who loved it or thought is was a total scam. But it seems like that is the case for almost every college I've looked at. Their Game Art program looks great, and I'd love to live in Florida, but I'm still a little wary. I don't think that the school is regionally accredited, but I don't plan on going to any other school, so that shouldn't really matter, right? I'm not completely sure how it works.

I was doing a project for school where I had to put someone down for a role model, so I chose Dawkins. I showed the project to my parents, and when they saw the bit about him they acted like I had said that the devil himself was my role model. (They had apparently "learned" about him during my father's deacon training) What do you think of Dawkins?

I am seventeen and I am incredibly conscious about my teeth. They are crooked and I have a chip in one of the two front ones. I am, thankfully, going to get the chip fixed, but I'm not able to get braces any time soon. I try to keep them clean, but I can't control how they grew. Are my teeth really that bad?

I am incredibly conscious about my teeth. I'm 17 and my teeth are crooked and I have a chip in one of my front teeth that I got a few years ago. It's taken years of pestering my parents, but I am finally going to get the chip fixed. I'd love to get braces, but my parents have made it clear that they will not pay for them, and I can't afford them myself right now. I try to keep them clean and all, but I can't control which way they grew. Do you think my teeth are really that bad?

I have always loved the Great Lakes, and I want to go to college for Art. My brother is currently at the Great Lakes Maritime Academy in Traverse City MI, and I'd love to be able to visit him. Anybody know of any art schools nearby? I actually love in Iowa and have been looking at Full Sail University in Florida and The Creative Center in Nebraska, but I'd much rather go somewhere near Lake Superior or Michigan If possible. Thanks in advance.

I have been using a 19 inch 720p tv as a computer monitor. I am actually able to set the resolution to 1920x1080, but I don't know if it's actually displaying that resolution because it's only a 720p tv. I also have a 1280x 1024 monitor. Which has better quality?

I have a little 19 inch tv that I use as a computer monitor. I was just wondering if there is something I could do to create the illusion that its bigger than it is.
