What do you think of Richard Dawkins?

I was doing a project for school where I had to put someone down for a role model, so I chose Dawkins. I showed the project to my parents, and when they saw the bit about him they acted like I had said that the devil himself was my role model. (They had apparently "learned" about him during my father's deacon training) What do you think of Dawkins?

tbh i dont like him. he doesnt know a thing about religions. he doesnt even bother to look the cultural context these religions develop in before attacking them.

He's a brilliant scientist.  Even most religious people recognize that he has contributed a lot to our understanding of life, in terms of his research.

He's also married to Dr. Who's Romana (from the Tom Baker years), I mean, come on, how awesome is that.
