How do you know if you ran over a cat?

I was coming home from work, and saw a cat in my headlights, but I wasn't able to stop in time. However, I didn't feel any bump or anything and when I checked my tires there wasn't any blood or fur or whatever on them. Perhaps the wheels didn't hit him? In retrospect, I should've pulled over to see if he was alright. Is there any way I can know if I hit him? I'd feel terrible if I did. I just want to know.

Did you hear a loud painful 'Meow' scream coming out of that cat?

If you did, you may have run over the cat, and if you didn't than the cat may have survived. Don't lose your sleep over it, they say cat has 9 lives to live!

  • You would know if you hit it. It would be like a loud crunch and your tires would be stained for a while.
