I was also wondering how to kill the soft drink industry not only in the Philippines but around the world. Soft drinks is bad to our health we know that but we still drink it. But can the two(2) leading brand Coca-Cola and Pepsi one day vanish into oblivion? In the Philippines it is now mandatory to eliminate soft drinks in every school, replace by fruit shakes and milk by the department of education because of the health risk and hazard of drinking soft drinks. But can the world kill the two(2) leading brand of soft drinks. What can you say? thx.
Jason--my topic is about soft drink not sugar, did you actually reading this or something hit you on the head while eating something. It is soft drinks...read my fingers...s-o-f-t drinks not sugar or pepper or catsup but soft drinks, just to remind everyone to stick with the question and not to deviate from it. What happen to Jason after giving his answer, and this two wise kings also revoked their answers(xyz and expat). I know why because their answers purely comes with vengeance, they are not here to answer questions but to wage a violent rage against me. I do not know why they single me out, what did I do with them? either they are suffering from psychosis of some kind thinking they are smarter than me or they simply think their answer is just a garbage.

We all agree soft drinks are unhealthy, no question. However it is illegal for government to favor who survives and who to kill among enterprises that are legitimate and which spend millions of dollars for community projects in support of their programs for corporate responsiveness. Let the market decide, if people will stop drinking colas, then no amount of legislation is needed. Government becomes redundant and irrelevant when they interfere with the laws of economics. Coke, Pepsi and other companies do not force people to buy their products. It is the people who will decide for themselves-that is the essence of democracy as guranteed by the constitution-that all are free to choose which liquid to put on their mouth. Government can only madate manufacturers to label their products correspondingly but not tell or create laws to ban colas.

Coke and Pepsi will remain popular for a long time, and the global push to reduce sugar and eat healthy will result in healthier fruit drinks being offered in vending machines and soda machines in the future. Currently coconut water drinks are becoming popular in the west, but they are now more like expensive, exotic, health drinks, not found in vending machines at this time. Coca Cola tried many times to offer fruit, orange, lemon style drinks, but these marketing attempts failed. Once the fruit drinks become popular, they will be offered more places. No one can tell me what to drink or eat. Just like no one can dictate how you live.
If soft drinks are banned whoever bootlegs soft drinks will become rich overnight.
Seems like everyone has forgotten Prohibition.
Making Marijuana illegal just seemed to make drug lords wealthy.
People are not forced to drink soft drinks. They drink by choice. Nothing is wrong with Coke or Pepsi if taken in moderation.

I hate soft drinks too. Can't sleep with all that caffeine. Even coffee ain't that bad.

The decision to ban all soft drinks will be up to the politicians. We all know that politicians are for sale. Coke*, Pepsi & the other soft drink companies have very big warehouses of money.
Too bad because I would like for all soft drinks to be banned. What a waste of money & nutrition for children.

God - I hope so. Soft drinks are one of the most destructive batches of garbage that the Billionaires ever got people hooked on - besides cigarettes.
It's all just to feed money into the pockets of the Rich.... They don't care who they destroy.
