Does anyone shoot with a back tension release?

do you like it more than others? has it helped your form substantially? i am curious to try it, but am somewhat skeptical, especially if i have to safely let it down from a full draw.

So, when you say back tension release I assume you mean a non trigger sort of release like a Stanisloski?(I have no idea if that's the right spelling.)

I shot a 3 finger style for about 4 years before I went back to fingers. I had mine set up as a rope release of course and was shooting freestyle unlimited. I would say that it did improve my form because it is mercilessly unforgiving about trying to pluck, yank or hammer the release the way you can with a trigger.

In terms of a safe let down, it's trickier than a trigger release, you have to intentionally keep the angle of your hand in a certain position through the let down, but with practice it's not a big deal.

I knew guys who were great shooters with them, but I never really was. Still it did make me better.
