Earliest time pregnancy detection?
So my buddies girlfriend said that she needed to talk, and got him all freaked out that she was going to dump him. But she said she that she was pregnant. He feels terrible and so does she...
Anyway, what he told me is that they did "it" on saturday, and she said she needed to talk on tuesday, and they talked on wednesday. So she had to have gotten a positive test on tuesday. My question is, is that possible? What is the earliest time a pregnancy test could show? cause thats only 4 days at most. So its probably closer to 3 days.
So what is the earliest time a test can read accurately?
and how reliable is a test result after that amount of time?
I know they can give false negatives, but can they give false positives?

3 weeks. Any time after 3 weeks should show an accurate result. False positives are rare.
