Is it possible to land internship opportunities for a recent grad ?

Graduated with a bachelors in applied mathematics and a minor in stats but most of my work experience has been in customer service . Finding it really hard to filter out

companies that are looking to fill entry level analyst or engineering positions. Yes i messed up big time by not doing an internship while in school but since i just graduated in the fall of 2013 are there internship opportunities still available which i could take advantage of. Thanks in dvance.

Most internships are for juniors and seniors in college. You should be applying for a full-time job now. What's done is done.... you graduated from college and that is an AWESOME achievement! If you're looking for a job in analytics or engineering and finding it hard to get one now, apply for any job at a company that has a lot of those positions. In other words, just apply for a job (such as customer service) at a company you really would like to work for in analytics or engineering. Put some time in and move into those departments. We all have to start somewhere.

    Yes and No.

    Internships are for students only.

However, I somehow got away with it. When I started working, I found out that people thought I was still a student. They found out I already graduated but they allowed me to continue the internship, which ended up opening so many doors for me.

It is not easy, but it is possible to find an internship.
