What was life like in the 1960's (Prefer answers from those around in that era)?
As the title suggests, what was life like bag then, I need to hear it from the people that experienced it mainly. I'm doing an assignment on Led Zeppelin 2 (1969) and I'm required to talk about the socio-economic culture that surrounded and influenced the bands sound.

60s were the perfect era. Women were coming out of the 50s housewife norm once again. Women like Elizabeth Taylor defined beauty. The cold war was a huge part of their lives, people were constantly practicing drills in case of a nuclear attack and many families kept their own emergency shelters and whatnot. 1969 was the year of Apollo 11, a huge American success. Led Zeppelin is a legend, my favorite song is "When the Levee breaks" (though that may be a couple years later)
