Interesting that a week or so back, a bill that would have increased veteran's benefits and funding of veteran's hospitals had a hold put on it - essentially killing it - by a Republican congressman (who no doubt had a little US flag on his lapel, showing how much he loves America and supports the troops.)

No the saddest day was when republicans got together and decided to obstruct Obama at all costs! Including obstructing the economy of our nation for political gain!
Typical modern conservatism says put political gain before the best interest of the country and the citizens!

It is indeed a sad day when cons find something to whine about when our commander in chief hands out much deserved awards to our bravest, who risked their lives for our country. Not to mention praising "America's enemy" Putin.

Actually, we can "crow" about a great number of things. It is satisfying, however, to see our President honoring our outstanding citizens. National Pride can be a good thing.

Not only is he NOT a “disappointment,” he’s pretty much the opposite. And no, I don’t just say that because he took out Osama bin Laden, helped Libya determine their own destiny for the first time in a while, and because he seems able to handle international incidents without starting a new war. The guy does nearly everything we elect a president to do, and he doesn’t brag about it constantly.
