“Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but the Father?
That is what Jesus Christ said at Matthew 24:36. I don't understand, if Jesus is God, how could he not know something?

Jesus is NOT God, nor is he part of a trinity.
Je′sus [Lat. form of the Gr. I·e·sous′, which corresponds to the Heb. Ye·shu′a‛ or Yehoh·shu′a‛ and means “Jehovah Is Salvation”. And Jesus is preeminently and uniquely “the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
Matthew 16:13"When he had come into the region of Caes·a·re′a Phi·lip′pi, Jesus asked his disciples: “Who are men saying the Son of man is?” 14 They said: “Some say John the Baptist, others E·li′jah, and still others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” 15He said to them: “You, though, who do you say I am?” 16 Simon Peter answered: “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
These men were Jesus' disciples, and they would certainly know if he had been God, but here they were told by Jesus that he was not God, but his son. Then in the same chapter verse 17 "In response Jesus said to him: “Happy you are, Simon son of Jo′nah, because flesh and blood did not reveal it to you, but my Father in the heavens did."
So there is no doubt Jesus was flesh and blood and the Son, the only begotten son, of Jehovah God.

Great question. Obviously Jesus is not God. No trinity ! But if you were to check that same verse in the old King James Version, you will find 3 very important words left out.....nor the son.....because Trinitarians know this verse shatters their false doctrine. Check it out ! All the best. Jay

Those that believe in the trinity that says Jesus is God ignore what the Bible says, John shows why it could be said that there are things Jehovah knows that Jesus his only begotten Son doesn't know! (John 12:49) because I have not spoken out of my own impulse, but the Father himself who sent me has given me a commandment as to what to tell and what to speak. See also John 3:16; 8:17-18; 12:28; 14:28; 1 Corinthians 11:3; Eph 4:5-6; Matt 26:39;
Some individual texts that refer to the holy spirit (“Holy Ghost,” KJ) might seem to indicate personality. For example, the holy spirit is referred to as a helper (Greek, pa·ra′kle·tos; “Comforter,” KJ; “Advocate,” JB, NE) that ‘teaches,’ ‘bears witness,’ ‘speaks’ and ‘hears.’ (John 14:16, 17, 26; 15:26; 16:13) But other texts say that people were “filled” with holy spirit, that some were ‘baptized’ with it or “anointed” with it. (Luke 1:41; Matt. 3:11; Acts 10:38) These latter references to holy spirit definitely do not fit a person. To understand what the Bible as a whole teaches, all these texts must be considered. What is the reasonable conclusion? That the first texts cited here employ a figure of speech personifying God’s holy spirit, his active force, as the Bible also personifies wisdom, sin, death, water, and blood.
According to the Nouveau Dictionnaire Universel, “The Platonic trinity, itself merely a rearrangement of older trinities dating back to earlier peoples, appears to be the rational philosophic trinity of attributes that gave birth to the three hypostases or divine persons taught by the Christian churches. . . . This Greek philosopher’s [Plato, fourth century B.C.E.] conception of the divine trinity . . . can be found in all the ancient [pagan] religions.”—(Paris, 1865-1870), edited by M. Lachâtre, Vol. 2, p. 1467.
John L. McKenzie, S.J., in his Dictionary of the Bible, says: “The trinity of persons within the unity of nature is defined in terms of ‘person’ and ‘nature’ which are G[ree]k philosophical terms; actually the terms do not appear in the Bible. The trinitarian definitions arose as the result of long controversies in which these terms and others such as ‘essence’ and ‘substance’ were erroneously applied to God by some theologians.”—(New York, 1965), p. 899.

God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself. Its something that you really can't expect to understand. I don't understand how a negative number multiplied by a negative number = a positive number. I just took the math teachers word for it because if i argued about it i would never have gotten through the class. -5x-5=25
See when Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.”
Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?
Sometimes when Jesus was speaking the man Jesus was talking. Sometimes when Jesus was speaking "God with us" was speaking. Jesus was both fully man and fully God.
He did the same thing when he was speaking to the pharisees in John 8:58 and he said..."Before Abraham was I AM" .....The pharisees tried to stone him for blasphemy when he said that. They did not realize who he was. Its really a good thing that they did not understand because, if they had known that their messiah had come to them they would not have crucified him. And if they had not crucified him, All the Jews and all the gentiles would still be lost. If they had known who he was they would have had to knowingly take the messiah and sacrifice him as the Lamb of God. I doubt they could have done it that way. It would have been more than they could bare. They would have begged God the Father please just let us kill a lamb or a goat not our savior. It would have made it more difficult for them, it would have set a strange precedent of human sacrifice that God did not want and it would have made it more difficult for the Father to allow his only begotten son to die for us. That is why Jesus told Peter "Get thee behind me Satan" Not only that but the men who put him to the cross were not obedient to God at all Abraham trusted God and was willing to sacrifice Isaac, but these men were the children of Satan. They never would have done it if they had known who he was.
John 3:16-21 “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who BELIEVES in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him. “There is no judgment against anyone who BELIEVES in him. But anyone who does not BELIEVE in him has already been judged for not BELIEVING in God’s one and only Son. And the judgment is based on this fact: God’s light came into the world, but people loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil. All who do evil hate the light and refuse to go near it for fear their sins will be exposed. But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants.”

Simple, Jesus is God's son, not God.

When Jesus was talking, He was a man and did not know as He only knew what God the Father told Him while being a man.

Therefore Jesus is not God.
St. Paul said that there are many real gods and lords, and many things incorrectly called such. But for us, there is only one God, the Father; and only one Lord, Jesus Christ.

Jesus isn't God. He's the Son of God, but according to God himself, his son is worthy of worship.

Context is everything.
At this particular point in time, Jesus cooperated with the limitations of being human. As a man bound by time, this would have been true. After his crucifixion and resurrection he would have omniscience reapplied to him.
