Do Historian seriously think the ancient civilizations justifies violence against women?

Sigh. Christians do not keep the civil code of Moses. We keep the moral code that God provided, however. The two are not the same. You see this in the book of Acts, very early in Christian history, where the Mosaic laws concerning foods and various other prohibitions were dismissed as irrelevant to gentile Christians. But the teachings against immorality continue.
Forgive me.

No we do not. Where did you ever get the idea that we did?
Also, morality MUST have a firm foundation. To the atheist, morality is arbitrary, as it's based entirely on the fickle opinions of a fickle majority. Without moral absolutes, there is no morality. Since atheists have no moral absolutes, they have no morality. So they borrow the morality of the society around them. Then they have the gall to turn around and call us the sheeple.

Christians pick and choose what they like from the bible. Or whatever their pastors tell them to believe.

Of course not.
"Woman was made from the rib of man. She was not created from his head to top him. Nor from his feet to be stepped on. She was made from his side to be equal to him. From beneath his side to be equal to him. From beneath his arm to be protected by him. Near his heart to be loved by him."
Man and wife are equals, but the order is clear: the man is the head authority. The wife submits to her husband as the husband submits to Christ.
If you're referring to the stoning of women in the Old Testament... then you're not understanding the context. They weren't stoned because they were women. They were stoned because they sinned.
Women have it easier, in fact. Becomes when it comes down to it, as head of the household, men are ultimately responsible if the wife sins. So the consequences are harsher on men.
Stoning vs. the wrath of God... hmmm... gee, who has it tougher?

The Bible DOES justify violence against women.
It also justifies slavery, and death to people who pick up sticks on the Sabbath, and death to non virgins on her wedding night, and death to unruly children...
...shall I go on?

Ah, it seems as if I need to, once again, read the Bible to these so-called Christians:
"And the daughter of any priest, if she profane herself by playing the whore, she profaneth her father: she shall be burnt with fire." (Leviticus 21:9)
"When men strive together one with another, and the wife of the one draweth near for to deliver her husband out of the hand of him that smiteth him, and putteth forth her hand, and taketh him by the secrets: then thou shalt cut off her hand, thine eye shall not pity her." (Deuteronomy 25:11-12)
"Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live. Whoever lieth with a beast shall surely be put to death. He that sacrificeth unto any god, save to the LORD only, he shall be utterly destroyed." (Exodus 22:18-20)
"Behold, here is my daughter a maiden, and his concubine; them I will bring out now, and humble ye them, and do with them what seemeth good unto you: but unto this man do not so vile a thing. But the men would not hearken to him: so the man took his concubine, and brought her forth unto them; and they knew her, and abused her all the night until the morning: and when the day began to spring, they let her go." (Judges 19:24-25)
...tell me when you have had enough?
