How much should I charge for making commercials?

I"m thinking of starting a film service, making local commercials to be exact. What is a good starting price for filming local commercials.? These commercials will run on one of my websites only. I will, however, give a copy to the customer in case they want to air it on T.V or anywhere else they please.

If I film a restaurant showing how great it's service is and how satisfied their customers are, would I have to pay ever single customer for being in the commercial? Doesn't make much sense to me being that they aren't actors and don't work for me. What if the manager of the restaurant is in the commercial, would I have to pay him as well?

I would also have to be very careful capturing brands/logos of other companies as well, right? If a Coca-Cola bottle appears in my commercial, I would have to notify Coca-Cola before hand asking for their permission as well as give them a share of my earnings, right?

any place outside of a private residence is considered "public domain" so you can film anyone at any time and you don't have to pay them or even let them know your filming...and if your just starting out I would keep prices low say $100 to $1000 until you get a body of work built up...then you will have a portfolio that you can show perspective customers..then as you get better with more experience you can start charging more....hope this helps...good luck

You can't film anyone without permission if the film will be publicly displayed. You have no idea how much trouble you'll be in if you film a married person on a date, a worker who called in sick, or a dozen other scenarios I won't bother to enumerate.
