  • How to choose a car price?

I've searched online and have found that I can afford a car around $17,000. Others say to buy a car based on 20% of your annual salary, which in my case would be a car of $11,500.. I'm confused since this is a big gap. How do I choose the right car price?

    Here's the info I submitted:

    1) Monthly Car Payment: $400

    2) Loan Term: 48 Months / 4 Years

    3) Interest Rate: 4.99%

    4) State Sales Tax: 6.25% (TX)

    5) Down Payment: $0

I lost my car because I couldn't pay it since I lost my job. I recently got a job and I'm looking to buy a car because I'm tried of riding the bus and asking for rides. I don't have any money saved up so I can't make a down payment. I don't want to lose my job due to unreliable transportation.

  • How to build a search engine for my website?

A local small business owner asked if I could build him a website for his used car business. I agreed. He's happy with the design, but asked if I could add a search engine where visitors can select CAR MAKES, MODEL, YEAR, etc.

Unfortunately I don't know how to do that since, I"m not familiar with coding. I use WIX.com to create my sites.

How can I add this type of search engine? I don't think WIX has a 3rd party application for this.

    He wants something like this:

  • How much gas would I use weekly?

I'm thinking of buying a new car. Here's the info:

    MPG = 20 City / 31 Hwy / 23 Combined (average)

    Gallons = 18.5

    Gas = $3.60 (my area)

    My Miles = 1,800 Monthly / 450 Weekly

    This is what I understand:

    Gallons X Gas = Price of Full Tank >>> 18.5 X $3.60 = $66.60

    Gallons X MPG = Full Tank Miles >>> 18.5 X 23 = 425.50 mi

So every week I would spend about $70 to fill up the gas tank? Excuse my terrible math skills, but given the info above how much gas will I use in a week and how long can a full tank last me?

  • Should I buy a sports sedan or a diesel truck?

I'm currently looking to for a new car since my new job requires a lot of traveling. I own a 2010 Dodge Charger, which basically means I spend $80 on gas every week. I'm looking to trade it in for a new fuel efficient sedan, but I'm interested in a truck as well. The reason being that I also own a band/sound system.

Borrowing trucks is getting really annoying. My Charger can carry a good portion of the equipment since it has very roomy interior and trunk. I would, however, prefer a truck. I would want it to be my daily commuter. I know that getting a truck beats the purpose of me complaining of gas mileage, but these new trucks do have great fuel efficiency.

I was looking for a Dodge 1500 Diesel. They are expensive, but I think the overall results will pay off.

Should I just buy a new car or a go with the truck? What car? What truck?

  • What sedan should I buy?

I currently drive a 2010 Dodge Charger, which I will finish paying in 2 years. Unfortunately, I have to look for another car since my current job requires a lot of traveling (about 3 hours daily). I practically waste 1 quart every day, not including weekends. This results in me having to spend $80 every week on gas.

I love my car and refuse to let it go. I just have 24 months left to pay it off. I do have to admit that I wouldn't mind a new car, but I'm very picky. What sedan would you recommend?

My ideal car is a Fuel Efficient Sports Sedan. These are some models that I've looked at, but I'm not completely sold on them.

    1) 2015 Chrysler 200 S or C

    2) 2014 Mazda 6 Grand Touring

    3) 2014 Dodge Dart GT

    4) 2014 Kia Cadenza

    5) 2014 Nissan Altima

I love big cars with big comfortable space That's why I chose the Charger. Are there better sport sedans with good legroom?

  • How to decline business deal?

I'm starting a business and I'm looking for another business to work with. I've come to see that they are no longer beneficial to my business. They have helped me accomplish some goals, but was never agreed that it was part of the deal. I asked for help and they accepted to help me. We came up with one final agreement, but I still want to opt out. Nothing has been writing, it's all been verbal. I'm in Texas, I believe that verbal agreements are valid in court.

I respectfully declined their offer but they insisted that I do business with them. Once they saw that I wasn't budging they threatened to defame my name and business, talk to my other contractors and exploit me, accused me of being greedy, challenged my knowledge in business, used profanity, promised me that I would not succeed, and that they were going to sue me for wasting their time.

Up to this point they have not done any official work for me. They have not done anything that is part of the deal. They helped me interview candidates and call potential clients, but that was never defined to be part of the contract.

We are going to have a final meeting this week and I want to decline the final offer. Am I able to to do this? Again, nothing has been in writing.

  • How do website owners report to the IRS?

I'm launching a website soon and I will have available ad spaces for local businesses. I will only accept cash and checks. I don't plan on having an ecommerce section. I will only be making profit from the ads.

Does this categorize me as self employed?

Does this make me a business owner?

Also, if I'm not mistaken, the banks are forced to report any deposits/transactions greater than $5,000 to the IRS. If my account ever reaches that amount, will the IRS audit me?

If I ever need any help my friends can help me out with the website. Since they are not employed by me they are considered contractors right? I will pay them a certain amount to do a job. This is considered a business expense right?

  • How much should I charge for making commercials?

I"m thinking of starting a film service, making local commercials to be exact. What is a good starting price for filming local commercials.? These commercials will run on one of my websites only. I will, however, give a copy to the customer in case they want to air it on T.V or anywhere else they please.

If I film a restaurant showing how great it's service is and how satisfied their customers are, would I have to pay ever single customer for being in the commercial? Doesn't make much sense to me being that they aren't actors and don't work for me. What if the manager of the restaurant is in the commercial, would I have to pay him as well?

I would also have to be very careful capturing brands/logos of other companies as well, right? If a Coca-Cola bottle appears in my commercial, I would have to notify Coca-Cola before hand asking for their permission as well as give them a share of my earnings, right?

  • How do I tell my girlfriend she's not good at giving advice?

Every time I ask for her advice or opinion, i get these responses:

    1) "I don't know, whatever you think is best"

    2) "I don't know"

    3) "Well, it's up to you"

    4) "Whatever you want"

I want her to engage in a conversation and express her opinion in detail. She's a very conservative person which I understand. I have told her about this but she's just to self-critical about herself that she's afraid to sound dumb. I have a girl-friend (lady friend) who knows what to say when I ask for help but my girlfriend gets mad and jealous.

There's nothing going on between me and my lady friend. We've just been friends since high school. How do I make my girlfriend understand this situation? How can I help her see that I her opinion matters most and that she's not delivering?

  • How do I sing with my original voice?

I've always wondered why some artists sound different when they sing then they do when they talk. Is this what everybody should do? Should we create a singing voice? What are some good exercises and tips I can use for starting to sing.

I'm a musician but lack the talent of singing. It's extremely frustrating for me to write the lyrics and put music to them, but can't actually sing the song.

I know I don't have a natural singing voice. I've come to terms with the fact that will never sound like Bruno Mars or Celine Dione. But Adam Sandler learned how to use his voice and sounded pretty good in "Grow Old With You". I know that they probably added studio effects but I mean your voice has to sound decent at least in order to get an good recording. How can I use the voice I have to sing. I'm not looking to sound like a mega star, I just want to sing in my spare time.

  • Help starting a small business?

I had previously asked this question but didn't get much luck, hopefully things will change this time.

I'm thinking of providing advertising services to local small businesses around my city. I will be covering making flyers, posters, banners, bumper stickers, t-shirts, and internet advertising services all at my expense, sort of. I was thinking of charging a weekly fee of $65-$100. I need a minimum of 6 businesses to agree in order for me to make some profit. I have created a contract by myself as well.

    1) Is the fee too high?

2.) What are some good points to bring up during the negotiation?

3.) Since I'm not a business graduate, how can I make myself sound more professional and look the part as well?

    * I do have good vocabulary skills, own a suit, and have good graphic design skills (which I will be using to create all the ads)*

  • How to get a punchy bass sound?

I just bout a Peavey TNT 115 (600 watts). I don't understand much of watts, hertz, and decibels are. On this particular amp I have:

1.) Pick Up Style Button (Active/Passive)

    2.) Gain Knob

    3.) Bright (On/Bypass)

    4.) Contour (On/Bypass)

    5.) Crunch (On/Bypass)

    6.) Low Knob

    7.) Graphic EQ

    8.) High Knob

    9.) Compressor Knob and Button

    10.) Master Volume

How can I use these to make my bass sound more punchy and low? I don't mean to cut through the music but rather to sound almost like a well rounded kick drum. I want to be able to here that initial hit/pluck without getting too much highs.

  • How can I defend myself against the police in these situations?

I have a couple of question regarding my rights when it comes to dealing with the police.

1.) What is the difference between Reasonable Suspicion and Probable Cause?

2.) If I'm with a friend and I get pulled over for whatever reason, can my friend record the situation?

3.) If I get pulled over and my friend is in his car behind me, is he able to stop near the situation and start recording?

4.) If I want to remain silent, do I have to let the officer know?

5.) If officers ask if they can come in and I let them pass through my fence door into my front yard, are they able to go inside my home as well?

6.) If the cops start knocking on my fence door and I we can see each other from my window and I walk away without answering them, are they able to come in anyways?

7.) What happens if you answer the cops questions in a different language? Is there a difference if you pretend like you don't understand English at all than answer formally in another language?

  • Can I get kicked out of the youtube partners program?

I have a youtube channel where I teach how to play songs on the piano. I don't want to get in trouble with the whole copyright laws and rules. I'm not claiming that the songs are my own, I'm just simply doing tutorials on them.

If I'm gonna get profit from their music through my videos will that count against me? Doesn't this fall under "Fair Use"? I'm I supposed to put a disclaimer in the description box/video?

  • How to dye hair over highlights?

My girlfriend wants to dye her hair red over her blonde highlights. She dyed her hair black back in May and got the highlights around June.

We went to some salons and one told her that she would have to bleach her whole hair in order to dye her hair red over the highlights. But this would cause her hair to get really damaged and would have to recolor her hair every 10-12 days.

Another salon told us that they had to add a filler to cover up the highlights but the red dye would have to be darker than what she wants. This wont damage her hair and she would have to recolor it every 4 weeks.

So who is right? If none than what does she have to do in order to get a good red hair color almost like Ariana Grande.
