Is this a better way to do elections?

...Just a thought, do you guys think it would work?

Ok, so you register to vote normally. Then when it's time to vote, instead of going to a voting box, you go online and submit a vote.

You enter your name, date of birth, and SSN...and then the vote you want to cast.

I feel like it would be a better democracy that way...

Any problems with this method?

Update:

Well, in person voting ballots can always be tampered with too.
