1 AnswerLaw & Ethics7 years agoWhat is Obama's unemployment rate now?
Everyone says it's terrible and that he's not decreasing unemployment at all.
9 AnswersOther - Politics & Government7 years agoHow many executive orders has Obama signed throughout his Presidency?
People say he's signed so many, and that he's constantly abusing his power. They also say he can't do it, and that he can be impeached because it's unconstitutional.
3 AnswersPolitics7 years agoCan someone clarify this?
This is under Section 901.151 - Florida Stop and Frisk Law
"(5) Whenever any law enforcement officer authorized to detain temporarily any person under the provisions of subsection (2) has probable cause to believe that any person whom the officer has temporarily detained, or is about to detain temporarily, is armed with a dangerous weapon and therefore offers a threat to the safety of the officer or any other person, the officer may search such person so temporarily detained ***only to the extent necessary to disclose, and for the purpose of disclosing, the presence of such weapon***. If such a search discloses such a weapon or any evidence of a criminal offense it may be seized."
Does this mean that police can only search for an obvious weapon?
In other words, if you had weed in your wallet police can't open the wallet to search, right? Or even technically your pockets because they couldn't feel a weapon and they are trying to disclose the presence of a weapon, not a drug.(although I could see some police officers saying 'I "think" this is a weapon, let me take it out').
3 AnswersLaw & Ethics7 years agoHypothetically, what would it take to takeover Manhattan?
If somehow, a ship (able to carry any amount of soldiers and equipment) were to sneak passed our defense systems...how many soldiers would it take to take over Manhattan?
5,000?
10,000?
50,000?
100,000?
250,000?
How would the government react if suddenly (say) 50,000 foreign soldiers entered Manhattan. What do you think the police and anti-terror (S.W.A.T) would do? Would they flip out and realize they are screwed?
7 AnswersMilitary7 years agoIn WWZ, how do you think the President died?
I try to think of how but I can't figure out the zombies would actually kill the President. Look -
Secret Service/Police Motorcade + Armored Car = Zombies aren't getting in.
Marine One/Air Force = Too high in the sky for zombies to reach.
White House Fence + Snipers + Large Amount of Secret Service + Underground Bunker = Zombies aren't going to get in.
The only thing I can think of is...The President was out on a campaign/speech/meeting with a government leader...he might get killed. But even then, if a rapidly spreading infection that made people attack each other, began spreading in a city WWZ style - I'm pretty sure the President would be the first one to know.
1 AnswerMovies7 years agoWhy do people like their Ex more than their current girlfriend?
To be clear, yes I know it's best to move on, however, it's not like you can change my heart that easily.
So, why do I "love" my ex, who "hates" me, more than my girlfriend who "loves" me?
4 AnswersSingles & Dating7 years agoAre Liberals intolerant?
Contrary to popular conservative belief that "Liberals are intolerant of Conservatives who don't share their view's".
This isn't true, if you want to protest that 'X' sucks, go for it.
What would be great is if you don't invade the rights or wants of other people. You know, something that you hate governments doing.
Protest all you want, say you hate 'X', but let people do what they please.
8 AnswersOther - Politics & Government7 years agoWho likes rights more, Liberals or Conservatives?
Or do they both like them about equally? I can say, I'm a Liberal, but I hate when cops try to abuse their authority and take away rights...
I'm pretty sure Conservatives are the same way, after all, I don't think anyone would like to be mistreated...
3 AnswersCivic Participation7 years agoWill you vote for the midterm elections?
4 AnswersElections7 years agoConservatives, would you mind this?
Bring unemployment benefits down to a maximum of 30 weeks (currently it's about 45 weeks).
Take some of the money saved and create job training and job search programs.
Then, cut food stamps by about 10 - 15 billion additional dollars (currently it's about 84.5 billion).
Take the money saved from that and invest in infrastructure (roads, bridges, power plants, ext...)
(This will also create some jobs)
...(I feel like this is where you guys would disagree?)
Cut the defense budget by 70 - 100 Billion (it's currently about 683 billion)
Take half of this money and give it as initiatives to people wanting to open a business (helps create jobs)...Take a ten percent and give it as grants to people pursuing green energy degrees...take the other half and give it to companies pursuing green energy (this too would help create jobs and it would help cut the need of fossil fuels), take the remaining fifteen percent and give it as initiatives for auto companies to greatly increase the MPG of their cars or to produce electric cars (this cuts the need of foreign fossil fuels)
Cut welfare 20 billion
Give 10 billion as an initiative for people to buy fuel efficient or electric cars (again cutting the need of foreign oil)...take the other 10 billion and give it to people as a $5,000 government tax return bonus for those who find jobs (must hold the job for one year...this prevent finding a job and immediately quitting, that's $5,000 for 2,000,000 people who find jobs
5 AnswersGovernment7 years agoAre there any zombie movies that show the complete beginning of the outbreak?
...I know a lot of zombie movies show a little bit of the beginning, but it usually ends up with the person getting knocked out (or something else) and then they cut to a couple days after...(Dawn of the Dead, Shawn of the Dead) WWZ showed a bit of the beginning but it didn't really go into detail (like where did it start in the city/US, and how long did it take to reach Brad Pitt from when it entered the city), it only showed about 5 minutes of fasted paced action (and not really local law enforcement and military reaction). Also a lot of movies start days, weeks, or months after the beginning (28 days/weeks later, The Walking Dead)
So are there any movies about the very beginning in detail, like one's that only cover 0-24 hours after?
(Basically a movie that covers the actions of the first responders and the initial reaction in general)
If you know of any more recent than 2000 can you please post it...
2 AnswersMovies7 years agoWW2 Germany, USSR, and Japan vs. Current United States, who'd win?
Best Answer will go to most detail and the person who explains the war the best (how the first attack would happen, what would happen in between, and what would happen at the end...)
All of the US forces are inside the United States waiting to be deployed...All of the US Navy has it's ships 100 miles of the coast of the United States...also all of it's resources are in the United States too (planes, tanks, ect...)
The US has all of it's satellites in orbit and all of it's radar systems online...
To make things a little more fair the United States only has five 10 megaton nuclear weapons. The axis get two months to plan their attack, and allocate resources for their attack (enlist more troops, build more planes, tanks, and ships).
The axis attacks first...
Winning is either
1. Surrendering
2. Complete destruction of the country (or countries)
3. Taking over the country or (countries)
Basically does the 80 years of technological advancement win this? Or does the US get overwhelmed? I could see this going either way.

3 AnswersMilitary7 years agoIs this a better way to do elections?
...Just a thought, do you guys think it would work?
Ok, so you register to vote normally. Then when it's time to vote, instead of going to a voting box, you go online and submit a vote.
You enter your name, date of birth, and SSN...and then the vote you want to cast.
I feel like it would be a better democracy that way...
Any problems with this method?
5 AnswersElections7 years agoCrimeans vote to Russia side, what happens?
Well, we all know that nearly every nation doesn't support an "illegal vote". They say they won't recognize it...But what will happen, it's not like Russia will stop. It seems like sanctioning them will be the only option...
So, two questions...
Do you think that sanctions would actually work?
and
If sanctions don't work, and Russia stays, what's the next option?
3 AnswersGovernment7 years agoLiberals, what do you dislike about Conservatives the most?
Exactly what it is.
20 AnswersPolitics7 years agoIf we really wanted to, how far can we send humans in space?
So, let's say funding to NASA is increased to 10x it's current amount. Also, let's say the government gives 20 billion dollars to fund private space ventures (like Space X, but the funding isn't limited to Space X)
Furthermore, other governments will help the venture to...EU, Russia, ect...
The organizations have 14 years to plan and do research, 4 years to test, and 2 years to build the final models. So basically the deadline to send is 2034. 20 years from now.
How far can me send humans by 2034 (if we all out tried our best)?
Mars
Jupiter's moons
Saturn's moons
Uranus' moons
Neptune's moons
Pluto
My guess is Jupiter's moons, but I don't know.
