In WWZ, how do you think the President died?
I try to think of how but I can't figure out the zombies would actually kill the President. Look -
Secret Service/Police Motorcade + Armored Car = Zombies aren't getting in.
Marine One/Air Force = Too high in the sky for zombies to reach.
White House Fence + Snipers + Large Amount of Secret Service + Underground Bunker = Zombies aren't going to get in.
The only thing I can think of is...The President was out on a campaign/speech/meeting with a government leader...he might get killed. But even then, if a rapidly spreading infection that made people attack each other, began spreading in a city WWZ style - I'm pretty sure the President would be the first one to know.

If one of the Secret Service people were infected. Or if Air Force One or his armored car crashed. It could be the crash killed him before he had a chance to get infected.
White House -- Zombies would get in if there were enough of them. They got over the wall in Israel; a gate and snipers wouldn't stop all of them.
He wasn't able to get to the underground bunker in time for any of the above reasons.
