What is a good place to buy kimchi in San Jose, California?

Please don't say "Safeway" or other supermarket. I'm looking for more tasty, authentic kimchi. Anyone know a good place?

Take a drive up the road to the city of Santa Clara to the cross roads of Lawrence Expressway and El Camino Real. Find the address to "Palace BBQ" (a great Korean BBQ at your table kind of restaurant). Anyways, right next to the BBQ place in the same parking lot is a huge authentic Korean Market. It's like kimchi heaven in there. They also a couple of "refrigerated" tables with a large assortment of kimchi for takeout. Enjoy!

There are many great neighborhoods within the many districts of San Jose. It depends on what is the most important to you (Schools, Great Nightlife, Awesome Valley Views, Safe& Secure) If you don't mind the Commute there are many cool smaller towns and suburban communities further out. Below are some general good areas. San Jose Niegborhoods: Downtown, Midtown, The Alameda, Japantown, Willow Glen, Almaden Valley, Rose Garden, Naglee Park, Alum Rock Foothills, Pruneridge/Hedding. Surrounding Communities: Cupertino, Saratoga, Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, Palo Alto, Mt. View, Parts of Sunnyvale, Morgan Hill, Fremont Hills, Pleasanton. As said here previously, it's best to get a short lease in one of the areas listed above and then get to know the area before you commit.

I like this blog recipe but find it much better to cut the cabbage into pieces under four inches since it makes it much easier to work with.

there are some good how to vids on youtube about making kimchi as well.

Do you have a Trader Joe's in San Jose? They have a pretty good brand in the refrigerated section.
