If God said do not worship false images?
If God said to not worship idols or false images, why do people worship a cross and draw pictures of Jesus?

many who use religious icons would similarly argue that images are merely objects of respect—not worship. They might claim that religious paintings are legitimate—even indispensable—aids in worshiping God. Perhaps you feel the same way. But the question is, How does God feel about this? Could it be that veneration of an icon really amounts to worshiping it? Can such practices actually pose hidden dangers?
God’s Law forbade making images as objects of worship. The second of the Ten Commandments decreed: “You shall not make yourself a carved image or any likeness of anything in heaven or on earth beneath or in the waters under the earth; you shall not bow down to them or serve them.” (Exodus 20:4, 5) The inspired Christian Scriptures also command: “You must keep clear of idolatry.”—1 Corinthians 10:14.

Because as you can see from the responses people don't understand what idolatry is. They allow their pastor and priest to tell them it's ok when it's really not.
The show American Idol. People don't WORSHIP the winner of that show. But they DO idolize them. An idol doesn't need to be worshipped to be considered an idol. Dictionary.com defines idolized as
1. to regard with blind adoration, devotion, etc.
Which is the manner that people look at it. On top of all that, the cross was the symbol of the pagan sun god that Constantine adopted as a symbol of Christianity. As was done with many pagan things like Xmas, Easter, hell, and the trinity.
The Greek word stauros, which is the word many bibles translate as cross, did not originally mean cross. It is actually just a pole or an upright stake. Jesus did not die on a cross.
The truth is much different than what the clergy of false religion teach. It's out there for anyone who wants it...

Because those who do are selfish and want to be independent of God.
They want to do their own thing, satisfy their own selfish desires and totally ignore what Jehovah God wants them to do.
When Armageddon occurs, their statues, crosses and pictures will not save them. Their man made objects of worship and adoration will offer them no protection in the day of Jehovahs anger.

I have crosses, and I'm an artist. I love to draw and if I drew people I would love to visualize what I thought Christ would have looked like and draw him. Now, I wouldn't worship my picture as I don't worship my cross. It's a matter of wanting to have a necklace with a cross that reminds me of how my Jesus died for my sins and pictures for my enjoyment

I have seen people kiss the cross, make the sign of the cross and kneel before the cross while praying.
They also kneel before statues and treat them as if they were God himself.
The Bible says we walk by faith, not by sight so those who say they just use or wear carved images to remind them of their faith actually have very little if any faith.
We have Gods Word to remind us of our faith. We do not need crosses, statues, or any other idols or carved images.
God clearly is not pleased with any of these images, icons and idols.
How do you think God feels when he sees people kiss and adore the instrument of torture that his precious Son died on? He is disgusted with those who do such a thing.

Because of the Romans who hijacked Chrsitianity to form the Holly ROMAN Catholic Church entirely in Italy and not the biblical lands!
Worse they disobey the bible in their methods of worship!
Thou shall have no other gods! Exodus 20:2-3, Exodus 23:13, Exodus 23:24, Exodus 23:32, Exodus 34:14.
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. (Exodus 20:4-6)
So it matters not whether Mary and the Saints are worshipped as gods, idols, intermediaries or anything else it still goes against God's direct orders!
Catholics keep trying to claim only they can be Christian and that is why Christianity has been split into over 39,500 different denominations, sects and cults setting Christian against Christian and Christians against everyone else!
God's work? Hardly!
It must be the Devil and the Antichrist working together to divide, conquer and destroy Christianity from the inside!

You do not pray to them, you use then to help you pray. The cross is there to remind you of Jesus' sacrifice, and that he gave his life for us. When you look at the crucifix you see Jesus' sufferings and this should move you to prayer. You don't revere the cross and pray to it. When they say idols they mean praying TO a statue and asking it for something. Christians don't say ease save me cross. It is also an important reminder for us to take up our own personal crosses without complaint.

Only Christians do that. In Islam, we cannot even draw a face of a human or animal. Photos or art we hang in our home tend to be photos of Mecca or the words الله and محمد. (Allah (swt) and Muhammad (SAW)).

Indeed, ironic isn't it eh?
There is one faith that is set apart from all the other "so called ones" who worship with spirit and truth. Here is the website and you can see for yourself: www.jw.org
