How long does it take to die from a cut thorat?
In a story I am writing, one of the characters has his throat cut, and he is going to die in the story. I just wanted to know how long it would take for him to die

It depends on which arteries are cut when the throat is slashed. Not all throat slashing cuts the main blood vessels--and some people can survive. If the major artery to the brain is cut, it would take less than 10 minutes to bleed out and die. If only minor ones are cut, a person can survive this attack.

Not long once the inside jugular is opened. They will pass out within a minute and be dead within 10 at the most. If the outside jugular is the only one affected, death will still occur but at a slower rate
