What are boxer females really like?
As we are getting two dogs...It has been decided that the boxer we get will be a female. I was kinda sad at this choice as I wanted a male...I have read that males are more carefree, calm, and more of a shadow dog (this is what I want). I also read females are more independent (not at all what I want)...Is this true?
She will be spayed of course, we are NOT breeding. I understand the requirements of this breed and am willing to put in the time in all areas.
Do you have a boxer female? What is she like? And what is her name....
I am leaning toward Zailey...but like Tilly, Sidney, Dani and Meadow. Good names?

It`s genetics and what temperament the dog was born with that decides what a dogs basic character will turn out to be....Not what gender it is.

Both male and female boxers alike are very loveable. They are loyal,
good with children and are good guard dogs.

Both male and female boxers are loving and definitely not independent. when i was younger, i had two female boxers and they used to sit on my lap and come over for rubs every 10 minutes.
