How do I get a smell out of a leather bag?

I have a faux leather bag that has an unpleasant perfume odor in it and all over it. What is the best way to remove this smell? Thanks!

What I would do is turn the bag inside-out and with a damp wash cloth saturated it with water and baking soda and sop it. Allow it to dry until crispy dry and brush it out with a stiff brush. Repeat if it doesn't work the first time.

Use a clean soft cloth and warm water to clean the bag. Then hang it outside in the fresh air
