You need parental consent to marry under 18 in all US states, unless as some one else posted, you get yourself legally emancipated. At that point, your parents are not responsible for you at all and the social services system will decide if you live in fostercare or a youth home. You could try to get married at 16 with both of you emancipated but that is up to the judge and your court appointed guardian. It is extremely unlikely that they will say yes to that. You can elope legally at 18.

The age of consent for sex maybe 17, but for marriage it is 18 in all us states. Elopement means running away and getting married.

If you don't want the Y/A community casting judgment on your poor choices, why didn't you just Google Louisiana state law when it comes to marriage and teenagers. You'll want to look for something called "emancipation." If you're looking to elope I assume you'll be doing this without parental consent? As long as you're both minors your parents will likely (assuming Louisiana doesn't have some backwards-*** law from way back when still on the books) intervene unless you two are emancipated by the court system.

By the way, if you pull this off please stay in school. You won't get far in life professionally beginning sentences with "And I don't need no..."

You are planning a marriage without even being old enough to sign a legal document, OK how are you going to live?

Clearly you can't, so start a long engagement and see if you still feel the same way about this after you have matured to a legal age.

Nah its all good to get married at 16 in Louisiana.

Then you can go panhandle in NOLA for a living.

Maybe even post an advert in Backpage for $150/hr. work.

That should take care of your money needs.

After all that's about the only way to make money when you are young and married without a high school diploma.

You would need to look up the marriage laws in Louisiana.

You are too young which is proved easily by your silly threat. I realize you don't want to hear the truth or consider it - another proof of being entirely too young.
