Absolutely they try to hide the fact that they doubt. It is Christian belief that they are to spread the word of god and the teachings of Christ, how will they do that if they admit that they doubt it themselves.
One of Jesus Christ's twelve Apostle's doubted everything, "Doubting" Thomas. The Bible also says that if you have faith as much as a mustard seed, you can tell a mountain to move and it will. I have yet to see a mountain move so, I must assume that there are not many extremely faithful people out there.
Now this isn't meant to diminish Christians in any way, they are entitled to their beliefs and I'll respect them for it. The thing is, it is human nature to doubt. That's why it's called faith, to believe, not knowledge, to know.

David was a man "after Gods own heart", but even David had times of doubt.
Job who made the great men of faith list had doubts.
There is no way I can come close to either one, so it does not surprise me when those doubts come.
I just try not to feed them and press on doing the right thing any way.

i think it is a Buddhist quote that says doubt is the ultimate poison in a relationship. if you take a second to view the Bible as true: Peter struggled at first. like the time he walked on water and fell and when he betrayed Jesus. after that he was set. but unlike him we today don't have jack for evidence or proof. so it is understandable to have doubts. but like a relationship it takes time and that relationship will eventually grow with work. people with no doubts look the happiest and at peace. call it ignorance if you want, but it is bliss.

Those of The True Christian Faith have NO DOUBT concerning their Salvation... we have God's personal promise of our Salvation...... but I have never met a True Christian who did not have some doubts about God's Word and Will for man-kind...or their own worthiness....... Every one of The True Church commissioned by God(ALL those of The True Christian Faith"... in their study of God's Word... comes to it with a question... and along the way to the answer... finds another question... or more....

Faith is a compensating mechanism for doubts...when doubts develop, as they surely would do..Just crank up the faith a few notches..That's what faith is....belief without evidence...

Young beginning Christian do have doubt--that is natural. The more one matures, the experiences we have with God and the Son Jesus gives us security in our faith. Hard to deny these experiences and we all have them to some degree. At 78 I have more experiences and should be expected to have greater faith--and I do. I never doubt.

Atheist's assert the same thing. Most do any way. Problem is with Atheist's , as with anyone else, belief varies. You have heard of Christian Atheist's. these are Christians who hold different beliefs, that don't quite agree with others.

Of course. There are many times I wonder if I am interpreting Scripture wrong or if I am on the right path. It isn't easy, it's just the right thing to do.

It’s an incredible con job when you think about it, to believe something now in exchange for something after death. Even corporations with their reward systems don’t try to make it posthumous.
