Pakistan couple get death sentence?

if such rabid brutality goes ahead and that intelligent couple are murdered then Pakistan can say goodbye

to the future for they will live forever more in the stone age!

So a Pakistani couple send a text message in Pakistan insulting Mohammed, the self proclaimed son of a God of which there is absolutely no evidence exists and who died around 1,400 years ago. The sentence for breaking this law is death - and you ask what is the UK;s problem!!

As you don't ask what is the problem with Pakistan, but with the UK, one must assume that you want this same law in the UK, presumably though it will be Christ and not Mohammed who cannot be insulted via text - another self proclaimed son of the same God, of which absolutely no evidence exists and who died around 2,000 years ago.

I, however, am quite happy that the UK doesn't have a law, punishable by death, and I have the freedom, not that I can think I would want to exercise that freedom to insult a dead person who claims to be the son of a being of which there is no evidence.

As there is no need to change UK legislation, perhaps it would be better to ask, what is Pakistan's problem?

Islamic societies have laws against practicing Christianity and Judaism. Most of the laws include a death penalty. I do not understand why non-Muslims are okay with that and continue to place a moral equivalency between Islamics and Christians and Jews.

Why use "OUR LAW" to defend them - they were in pakistan under pakistan law - so should of obeyed the law - their own fault.

I did not say it was right, merely that if you go abroad you have to respect their laws, or face the consequences. Even if it is based on nonsense.

What I hate is the radical interpretation of any religion, whether Islam, Christianity, Judaism or others.

Islam is all about death, beheadings, floggings and the cutting off of hands.

Mostly this is done simply to keep people in line to obey.

We do not have a problem. This took place in Pakistan. They have their laws and we have ours.
