I've used one and yes they do make your waist look a little more hourglass like. . But only if you are already somewhat thin. A person can't be very chubby in the waist and expect it to make them skinny. I already had a curvy waist BUT the waist trainer did make it smaller.i use mine when I sleep and workout but when you start just wear it for 2-4 hrs then move up to 8 hrs a day when you get comfortable. also don't spend too much money on them. If you have any Mexican stores/ Asian stores downtown buy them there because they are the exact same thing as the expensive ones. Spend about $40, $60 being the most because you will need a smaller one in about 3 weeks after you start waist training.

Short women usually have short torso and a waist cincher can help you give the impression that you are taller. A straight waist does an optical cut from your height when an hourglass shaped waist adds a few inches.

No it's a gimmick. I tried it and just wasted money. Please do excercise and eat right
