Is this a proper sentence?

Medea incites a unique portrayal of it’s characters, Medea in particular.

the first medea is refering to a story and the second medea is the character.

    Look up "incites" you are using it incorrectly. You also need to write a much more sophisticated sentence if you want this not to sound like it was written by a 5th grader. Unique is also incorrect. The play doesn't make the character unique, the portrayal of the character by a uniquely inspired actor makes her that way. It is obvious that you do not understand either the play or the character and you think that using big words will fool the teacher into believing that you do. WRONG!

    I would put the first Medea in quotes as to differentiate it from the second Medea.

    The word "incites" doesn't quite fit. Is there another word you could use?
