Why are GB:RMG shares in free fall?

I've noticed Royal Mail shares which were in the 600p mark for ages suddenly drop nearly a whole £ to almost 500p in the last few days.

Has there been something on the news that I missed?

I think it is because they are not profitable enough to compete with the rest of the parcel carriers.

They are basically on a journey of transformation to efficiency which has just begun but this may already be priced into the share price.

Risks remain such as labour unrest, cahnges to management and competition.

Improving efficiency gets harder as you go on.

There is also an Ofcom investigation into certain charging practices

Frozen sucks and so does Titanic. If you think popularity is always an indicator quality, there is something wrong with you!
