Why is that people don't consider premarital sex and divorce as sins but consider abortion and same sex marriages as sins?

Premarital sex is a sin. Divorce except on the grounds of adultery is a sin. If someone has extreme circumstances and needs to get a legal divorce that is okay, but they shouldn't remarry. Because in God's eyes the only way to break the bonds of marriage is adultery.

  • If you believe in the bible you should view all those things as wrong.

The bible refers to people out of wedlock having sex as fornication. And God specifically says at 1 Thessalonians 4:# to ABSTAIN from fornication. And at Revelations 21:8 list it as a SERIOUS sin.

Divorce when it comes to divorce (not on terms if one mate cheats on another) Jehovah God HATES it. Malachi 2:16 and Matthew 19:9 talk about that. He finds it deceitful and treacherous against someone he made so sacred.

Abortion is the killing of an innocent life. And is considered to be murder to God and would make you blood guilty.

And same sex marriage is going against God's arrangement. And was considered a sin even in biblical times.

So if you considered one of these things a sin and you're Christian you should considered the other three things as such too. We shouldn't give ourselves to luxury to pick and choose what part of the bible we believe in. It's either the whole thing of none of it.

Because premarital sex and divorce are stuff THEY do, so it can't be a sin, while abortion and same-sex marriage are icky things those OTHER people do, so they must be sins.

Marriage is an agreement to be sexual partners, you marry when you have sex. The Church changed the rules to control people.

It is not a sin to divorce an immoral person.

It is immoral to kill a person, when do you become a person?

Same sex marriage is a fraud no one believes that they will be monogamous.

My wife packed up my daughter and left me. She has put in for a single parent's allowance from welfare, child support, and wants me to get paperwork to sign her share of the house into my name so she can go on the state housing list. I never did anything but being a loving, kind, considerate husband. I never forced anything on her. I never so much as raised my voice at her. I never asked her to leave. I never wanted her to leave. But she is divorcing me. Does that make me a sinner?

It is the old "whatever I do or want to do is fine, everything else that other people do is a sin" approach.

Were you expecting any kind of fairness and logic among religious fundies?

Because people like to use the usually vague passages of religious dogma to reinforce their own personal beliefs and prejudices.

Christians are to believe that all which you just listed is wrongful. (The possible exception being divorce with specified circumstances.)
