Does anyone suffer from a sun allergy?

I break out in hives alot especially in the summer and the other day While spending outside in the sun I broke out in a very bad rash which I was told from my drs that it was sun allergy or solar dermitis.

Just wondering if any one has to deal with this.

Yep you're going to have to wear long sleeves even in summer time. Just try to find shirts or blouses that are thin, not so bright in color, and that cover most of your arms. You have to get dark colors because bright colors are for those who are just trying to keep cool but dark colors repel sunlight so you won't get as much. Get a wide brim hat, some shades, etc. I even have a veil. I also wear opera gloves...the kind that goes past your elbows. I try to stay in during the hottest part of the day and I also wait until sundown to wear sleeveless items of clothing and uncover my face....

My dad has that problem. His rash really itches and lasts two weeks. He has to stay out of the sun.
