Sure. Every word. Any astrophysicist knows all of this already. Common knowledge.

You prefer the sky daddy thing? How sad. Go back to school. This is covered in 11th grade physics.

apart form the goofy guy repeating "from nowhere", yes, that is pretty well what I believe happened. I suppose you could assume that there was a god that caused it to happen, since that side of things is not very clear or easy to define, but this universe was created relatively instantaneously, and at the moment of creation all the natural laws were defined for THIS universe. Time is an aspect of THIS universe, so before the creation of the universe, time has no meaning, any more than distance would have meaning.

the 0+0=1 is a false representation of the concept. It would be better expressed as 0=-1+1, and we are only in the 1 (or perhaps the -1) portion of that equation. You wouldn't argue against 1-1=0. would you?

    Your presumptions are in error.

A little logic to think about:

A former military teacher of atheism

A former school teacher of atheism

    http://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/302004006

A famous philosopher who turned from atheism because of a study of DNA

    A neurophysiologist and former atheist

The design requirements for our universe are like a chain of 1000 links. If any link breaks, we do not have a less optimal universe for life -- we have a universe incapable of sustaining life! The evidence I have present is daunting, but still short of "proof". I must conclude that it takes a great deal more faith to believe in an accidental universe than to believe in an intelligent creator, or God who crafted such a marvelous universe and beautiful place of habitation in planet Earth, and then created life (including human beings) to occupy it.

That last link is long and detailed and very rational.

Well you have to be smart and study all your life and read big books and think (ouch!) and know math and physics---it's really too much for you---so just say "god" and live your lie in your magical made-up world.

Of course I believe it. Because we have MASSIVE evidence for it. The "nothing" is not nothing---the "nothing" is the unformed potential of something.

Besides, which Big Bang are we referring to?

A fireball smaller than an atom? Rich.

Im no atheist but I have a hard time understanding statements with absolutely no evidence and totally unsound logically being applied to science. Credibility please.

That version of the big bang makes no sense.

  • Atheists have no real reason to rely on the laws of logic to begin with. Atheism cannot show that the laws of logic are useful for arriving at truth.

I'd use my logic and choose an atheist over a Catholic priest as a baby sitter if that matters.

That is what all the evidence and calculations say happened. I will go with 20th and 21st century knowledge and methods over various cultural myths. When you get to extremes of size and energy (either direction) what passes for common sense on the human scale becomes non-sense. Some physics classes would show you that.

""Atheist, are you as logical as you think you are?""

Yes,,and to date, No one here has been able to Validly Prove otherwise...

If it's not about non belief in god/s why address this only to atheists?

I really don't know why you people can't understand the meaning of the term 'atheist'.
