How many politicians would have to die before John Kerry became president?

Would have to die ?? Strange question .. I do not think it can be based on that .. Kerry is a decent man , from my state although he is not nor likely to run again, nor would I vote for him, There are far to many other a bit more moderate Democrats that I would vote for before him
