Should women be allowed in active combat roles in the military?
More than 60% of females marines on parris island cannot do 3 pull ups, yea 3 and it's the bare minimum for the fitness test for infantry. I say let them fight if they want to, however if this is more gender equality non sense from feminists it's going to cost a lot of lives by putting women in combat who can't pass a minimum fitness test. Thx for your answers everyone just a concerned vet.

Three pull ups, is that a joke??? I dread to think of a country being defended by people who think 3 pull ups is an achievement. If women want equality (which they should) they should be able to enter full combat situations and should have to pass physical tests which have some level of difficulty, if they cant pass... then they shouldn't be there.

What's the point? Do you really want your guts blown out your back and then to lay in a fox hole screaming in agony until you bleed to death and die. What are you trying to prove?
You're trying to get stamps of approval from the establishment. You are insecure and need to feel like righteous people because the establishment says so? You can't even imagine the horrors of war. Watch Freddy Krueger and then decide because that's what the horrors of war entail. Are you gonna go through that so you can get a gold star next to your name?
Men have been doing this sort of thing for thousands of years because they will do anything to protect their wives and children. You, however, are doing it for a gold star. Wow....insanity has taken over and ruled your thoughts.

yes, the women should be oblieged to go as much to the battlefield as men and for that there should be a woman quota like the feminists love to have for CEO postitions only but not for the dirdy and dangerous work like a soldiers job on the battlefield. same rights mean same duties too or else when women only have rights and no duties while only men have duties, that means men become sla\ aves to women, even if they dont personaly involve with women at all. is a nation like that worth that i as a man go and defend it ?

Every Marine is a rifleman! That includes the female Marines. Are you trying to say the Marine Corps has been lying about that all these years?

I don't think pull ups are terribly important for most situations.
But women, like men, should be able to demonstrate basic core strength and endurance in order to be in combat.
And the reduced physical fitness standards for women tells me they fail, and spectacularly so, in this regard.

If they can meet the requirements and they want to do it, of course.

Anyone who proves themselves strong enough and fast enough should be able to.
