porsche cayenne 21' wheels?

Im thinking about leasing a porsche cayenne 2014, with the 21" sports edition wheels, I was talking to someone and they said it was a bad idea to get the 21" rims, do to the fact they won't be as good to ride with in the snow, and that potholes will scratch and dent them more often. Is this true ?

Large diameter rims are extremely foolish on 4WD.

It looks silly, will handle badly, easily be damaged, and be very uncomfortable.

The big tire style is known as a high-riser or Donk.

It is like advertising you are an idiot.

4WD should always have as much rubber as possible.

Anyone who thinks they can corner hard with 4WD is an idiot.

    Porsche Cayenne Rims

I personally own a Porsche Cayenne and I have 22 inch rims on it. It looks amazing and driving is not bad at all. I can barely feel the difference when I had OEM wheels. But, (and I emphasize here), make sure you get quality rims. I recommend Victor Equipment (the same I have) because they are specialized in aftermarket rims for Porsche. So, they keep the same level of quality and standards. You can see some available here: http://www.rimsdealer.com/wheels-tires-packages-wh...

As far as winter comes, I live in Sunny Florida :) So, I can't tell what's the best. I guess you would change back to factory tires. Good luck!

I do agree. The ride will be hard and it will suck in the snow, but it's a Porsche it's meant for handling. I remember my Porsche in the snow and it was horrible. Just too much power and torque. By an old 4 x 4 for the snow if you want the Porsche.

low profile tyres do make the ride a little harder, as to wheel damage being more , i do not beleive thats true, or the loss of traction in the snow, i did not know you could get 21" i thought the option was 20"

You are thinking about re-engineering one of the best-engineered cars in the world. Leave it stock, standard, like it came from the factory. Don't change anything. It only drops the value, the handling, and the looks. Don't even think about it.
