Do Latinoamericans living in US hate people from Spain?
I'm Spanish, and I know that one can not generalize, I know that there are two users of YA that are always making questions and answers against Spanish people, and I know what they are going to answer, but the rest of Latinoamericans some times they call themselves Spanish, but at the same time they do not want to be called Hispanic because it mix them with people from Spain which are white.
Some times it seems that they are happy of having Spanish ancestry, although other times it seems that they say that their Spanish ancestors were horrible people.
@Izzy - I'm sure they take pride in their country of origin. I'm only asking if they hate Spain.
Update 1 - This question is for Latinoamericans with Spanish ancestry. And those who do not have Spanish ancestry, but have any other European ancestry, are they happy with it or do they hate the country their ancestors came from?

Trust me, the "Mexicans" on here are nothing like the ones I've met in the US. I lived in the US for 6 years, and Latino Americans have only mentioned Spain a handful of times, and never in a hateful way. Mostly during the 2010 World Cup. Why would they hate Spaniards? I mean yeah they know Spain conquered Mexico and most of Latin America a long time ago, but it's not like they live life hating Spaniards, go home and mention Spain all the time. It's like Spaniards taking about Mexico or Latin America on a daily basis. Most don't even give it a thought, and vise versa. It's mostly the young Americans of Latin American descent who are sometimes proud to have native ancestry. They're American, so of course they think it's all about Aztecs. They know they have Spanish blood too, but since their parents, grandparents or great grandparents don't come from Spain, why the hell would they say they're proud to have Spanish blood.
they call themselves Spanish sometimes since that's what other Americans call them. They're programmed to think that, even though their parents would never call themselves that, since they know very well Spanish means from Spain, but their children are American so...
Spanish can mean Dominican, Puerto Rican, Cuban, Colombian etc there. I was always confused when someone mentioned it, since I always wondered if they meant Spaniards, or just Latin Americans. It's not like in Europe where Spanish always means from Spain, and people from Latin America are called Latin Americans.
Now Latin Americans obviously know more about their history. They call themselves what their nationality is..never Spanish. I've never in my life have heard one call themselves that. Even immigrants in the US. It's usually their American children or grandchildren who do, since as I said, they're American.
Latin Americans know that you can't group all Latin Americans together. I've met Northern Mexicans, and they know that the culture in Southern Mexico is different for example. A lot call themselves "norteño(a)". They know Spaniards conquered their land hundreds of years ago, but I've never met one who's actually hated them for that. In fact, I've been told by some when that they're happy, since Spaniards gave them a lot of their modern culture, as did native tribes. It's not Spanish, French, German or whatever, or native, but a mix. I had to give a report on this once, so I asked some of my friends's parents and researched online.
don't listen to these trolls on here. Some have this crazy idea that Mexican means native or mestizo, when a sane person would know that isn't true. Mexicans would laugh at an AMERICAN, I mean, AMERICAN saying what Mexican is. Mexicans in Mexico don't even consider Mexican Americans Mexican. I've heard some say they don't know why some Americans call themselves "Mexican" American if they're not Mexican, and totally Americanized. A lot have an accent when they speak Spanish, and don't know much about Mexico, so they don't know why they call themselves Mexican.
but yeah, don't listen to these "Mexican" users. They're nothing like the ones I've met. Most likely those delusional people who call themselves native and that they're "Nicantlaca" or something like that.
The great majority of Latin Americans don't hate Spain or Spaniards at all. They're very nice people.

@Lucidity
Generalizing much? You do not speak for all Mexicans or all Mexican Americans. Not all Mexican Americans hold a negative view of Spaniards in general and not all Mexicans hold a negative view of Mexican Americans in general. I'm Mexican American and I don't have anything against Spanish people of today, however, I do resent the past oppression and atrocities committed by the Spanish authority for centuries in colonial Mexico (and throughout Latin America). And any person with a conscious should feel the same. The only people I resent over that issue today are those who attempt to downplay it or sweep it under a rug. I don't even resent Spanish settlers in general during that time period, because not all of them were in positions of power, and many of them chose to take Indigenous spouses, which resulted in the Mestizo population of today. So if I were to hate everything associated with Spain, then I'd be hating a part of myself since I possess some of that ancestry.
But back to the original question: There is very little direct contact today between Spain and most Latin American countries. So the majority of Latinos I've met don't hold a strong opinion over contemporary Spanish culture, good or bad. I know a few that follow the Spanish soccer league, but that's about the extent of it.

No.
<I'm Spanish, and I know that one can not generalize>
If you know this, then why do you ask such a question?

First off latin Americans do not call themselves spanish
only some latinos do that because they confuse speaking spanish with being spanish but go to latin america and NO ONE will call themselves spanish
Also MANY latin americans are WHITE and not all latin Americans have to have Spanish ancestry.
And what makes it seem that some of them are happy of their spanish ancestry? Examples? Newsflash latin americans take pride in their country of origin
most of them don't give a dam about spain.
Seriously, just cuz two users make comments about spaniards doesnt mean the rest of latin americans hate spaniards
Again, most don't think about spain, spain is quite insignificant to latin americans.
edit: did you read my answer? No one CARES about spain.

I don't hate Spain but I don't think I can be proud of a country I don't know much of except what is seen on tv I have Spanish ancestry but that was from centuries ago, now I'm just Mexican American. But I'd like to visit Spain someday, seems like a beautiful country.

I'm not American, but my European ancestors came from the Kingdom of Navarre / French Basque area. Is that France or Spain?
Mexicans of French descent make up the second largest European descended group in Mexico.

Most people mixed from this era ended up speaking Spanish like how Germans and Italians in America ended up speaking English.
I don't hate anyone.

Many Latin Americans on here are just trolling people, this has always been a trolling section. One should not take things seriously here or else it will make you look like a whining pathetic *****.
That being said, Spaniards are awful people. It's understandable why most do not like them. They especially speak annoying. Must suck for many Latin Americans because they share blood with you people. I will literally kill myself if I had their blood, thanks god I don't.
