Did you enjoy your post-college years?

By post college years I mean anywhere from 1-10 years after you graduated college, if you attended? I ask because this is the last term of my college career and I can honestly say I didn't find what I was looking for. I'm curious if anyone experienced the same and found their post college lives a lot more fulfilling.

It just feels as if it's high school just with thousands of more people and more liberties. It does not feel as if anyone is really taking things seriously. Curious what y'all experienced.

My experience was very different. I want to college late in life--in my early 30s. I found college to be an exhilarating experience. I loved it and graduated Summa *** Laude. I felt I was respected by my professors and fellow students--and like I was someone. I worked hard, and got results.

After I graduated, I naively thought I would get a lot of job offers for choice positions. Boy was I wrong. I went to interview after interview, and no one gave a da-mn about my grades or education. Part of it might be my degree--it was a BA in Communication and English, and part of it might be that we moved out of the area, and the college I went to was unknown in our new home.

But part of it also is that I don't think employers really care that much about education. A lot of people who interviewed me would have been my peers, not my boss, and I think they were more interested in finding someone who could be a buddy, take on the cra-ppy work that they didn't want to do, and would not be competition for them, but still basically competent enough to do the basic job.

I loved my college experience, but was it worth it financially? It's hard to tell. My post college years were a disappointing let-down though.
