Should I ask her out on a date again after being rejected?

A friend of mine lives abroad. I'm heading to her city in 2 weeks time.

We are, I like to believe, on good terms and chat very regularly (help with language, sending photos, chat on random subjects,...).

I suggested on meeting 2 weeks ago, but the answer was "thanks, I don't think so".

Then I said, "well, I thought it would be nice. Anyway, no need to answer right now".

So the question is, would it be opportune for me to pop the question again (in two weeks from now I will be in the city)?

Or is the ball in her camp now so to speak?

As it is very rare for me to visit the city she lives in (as mentioned, abroad), maybe I could go the extra mile so to speak? There would not be too much to loose, although I appreciate her friendship greatly and wouldn't like to loose that.

I'm in similar situation as yours.

I'll go to her city maybe in June for vacation. I will have fun but yes, why not ! You can ask her out when if she is free. The worst thing to happen is that she will say no. If she doesn't say anything or doesn't say yes, you can still enjoy your time while being there. However, be careful , you don't want to be too intrusive since she could have a boyfriend and she feels shy to tell you. However, you can still find out if she still likes you or not by asking her out.
