What to replace in my comp to make it good for gaming?

the CPU is minimally important in gaming. You can go hardcore with an i5, and even get away with an i3. The most important piece is the GPU. If you are on a laptop then it is most likely impossible or very hard to replace the GPU. On a desktop it is pretty easy just make sure your PSU is a decent wattage really anything over 500 works, 600+ is great(for a single GPU setup). A typical gaming GPU runs around $300.
