Can't clear cache in Firefox!?

I've been trying to get my cache cleared with Firebox but it just won't do it. I'm so feed up I'm about to switch to a different browser but I don't want to lose my bookmarks. Do I download a new browser, import the bookmarks and then delete Firefox?

Thanks,

Bonnie

If the normal methods didn't work, you can clear the Firefox cache manually.

Open a new tab/window, in the address bar type: about:cache and press enter.

You can see the cache entries in Memory, Disk and Offline. It also lists the path to the Disk and Offline cache items in Cache Directory.

Open these locations in Windows Explorer or a CMD Prompt and manually delete them.

Alternatively, download the great CCleaner and it will take care of the cleaning.

It's actually really easy to clear your Firefox browser. Try the instructions here: http://www.infolabs.eu/showthread.php?2967-How-to-... I found them very useful. You could always try reinstalling the program too.

You can also download and install Steven Gould's "Cleanup" (www.stevengould.org) - its shareware (free, but they ask for donations) and it does a great job clearing out temp files/folders, browser caches, history, etc.
