If someone tells you to learn to be just "good enough" what would you say, what are your thoughts on this?

There are those who really don't try at all. They take the attitude that no one cares if you are all that or not so what does it matter. They marry a good enough man and have good enough children and live in a good enough place. Then there are those who try really hard and become what the good enough people call lucky and they get good jobs and marry nice guys just like them and have kids who do well and live in nice homes. Then there are those who are born with talent and brains and the smart ones both male and female and usually marry the same and have kids to match and we wonder where in the hell did they come from. Pick the life you want early and you will not be disappointed when you are older. Good enough is for losers.

I am a confident, educated, objective person. If I was told to educate myself to be "good enough" I would communicate to that someone that they may have low work, social, educational ethics, however, I will not stoop to their "glass ceiling" of education. Would anyone want to see a physician who is just good enough? No.

I think the request to not excel a kick to the head. Always excel, achieve goals that may be tough to obtain, set your limits outside of your comfort zone....AND NEVER BE JUST GOOD ENOUGH!
